AREW's ability to offer the best networking, educational and community involvement opportunities in the industry depends on one factor above all others: the participation of AREW members, not only by attending, but also by helping to create, plan and implement our events and activities. In addition to being involved in an area of interest while contributing to our organization, your participation on a committee optimizes your networking opportunities by working with other members toward the common goal of bringing value to AREW.
We are in need of your knowledge, experience and commitment. Committee participation is a wonderful opportunity to learn, grow, network and get the most from your AREW membership. Contact the committee Chair of your choice for more information and/or to join their committee.
Advancement to Chair a committee is open to all and is by AREW Presidential appointment. The Chair of a Committee becomes a member of the Board of Directors and serves for one year.
The COMMUNICATIONS COMMITTEE assists the Newsletter Editor with the production of the monthly newsletters and is also responsible for coordinating all of AREW's press releases, advertising, printed materials including the annual updating of the Membership Directory and Membership Brochure, invitations, stationery and special events ‘save-the-date' cards. It is also responsible for overseeing the AREW website, e-blasts and coordinating the monthly updates with the newsletter. The Committee may meet occasionally to collaborate efforts but usually work is done individually and coordinated via telephone, fax or e-mail.
