Rebecca Mason is a principal and executive director of Caran Properties Realty,
the residential brokerage division of Caran Properties, she is currently responsible
for the group's marketing, business development, management and listing activities.
Rebecca joined Caran Properties in 1993 after moving to New York City from the United
Kingdom. She joined the firm as special projects manager for Caran's building management
division where she focused on asset management, customer care and supervision of construction
projects. Rebecca is also experienced in mortgage refinancing, negotiating commercial and
retail leases and overseeing tenant improvements. She is a licensed real estate broker.
Since joining the organization in 1998, she has served as 2008-09 vice president, chair of the
AREW Charitable Fund, Inc. and held board positions including chair of the luncheon and membership
committees. She is also an active member of the Real Estate Board of New York (REBNY),
having served as past co-chair of REBNY's Small Firm Committee. Currently, she serves on the
REBNY Ethics and Arbitration Committees and volunteers her time and expertise as a Technical
Instructor for REBNY's continuing education program.
Rebecca has been acknowledged for her many contributions to the real estate industry,
for her expertise and for making a difference in the greater community. She was honored
as one of the "Top 50 Women Leaders in Real Estate" by Real Estate Weekly and AREW, named
a "Rising Star of the Real Estate Industry" by Real Estate Weekly and presented with the
Emma Lazarus Award by the Associated Builders and Owners of Greater New York (ABO).
